I see it...

Last night, for Zack's birthday (and to prove he's not old), we went to a midnight showing of the movie Avatar. I was moderately excited. On the way there Zack told me that it was only playing in 3D. This made me less excited. The last movie I saw in 3D was Beowulf. The theater was cramped, the 3D made me nauseous, and the movie was total crap. Zack went into a whole speech about how this was new 3D technology and it wouldn't make me sick, la, la, la. I was unconvinced and annoyed...then we watched the movie.

AMAZING!

I mean, the movie itself was good. There were very few actors who couldn't act, the story line was predictable but really well done, and well, it was fun. What completely blew me away was the 3D! You can't possibly imagine the depth of field that they achieved unless you see it. Oh, and lets talk about the other awesome technology that James Cameron used. He 'created' every seen twice. Once with the actors and then again in CGI. It made for the most amazing, realistic alien creators I have ever seen. Ok, so I guess there were two things that blew me away. The colors were amazing. The landscape was beyond visually stunning. Even if you don't care for this genre of movie you should see it for those reasons alone. I mean, ok, it was 3 hours long. I didn't notice that once. Do yourselves a favor and go see this incredible technology.

It's 3 a.m.

and I am WIDE awake. I've decided to get up and clean the kitchen because if I'm gonna need a nap tomorrow I might as well be productive tonight so that I actually let myself take a nap tomorrow.

P.S....

...overtime.

Yes, I really am.

We had to DVR the Steelers/Ravens game tonight because of Zack's unfortunately timed hockey game. I was getting annoyed during the recording process because I couldn't figure out how to set it to record extra time. Zack told me not to worry about it "there's no way that game is going into overtime." I heeded the vioce in my head telling me not to take chances and here we are, 1:o0 left in the 4th quater and it's all tied up. I am purposely posting this before I find out if the game actually goes into overtime or not because it's not relaly about that. It's about me being awesome. Which I am.

Lists and Concise Sentences

No, I haven't quit blogging. I know that I probably tricked you with all that 'not blogging for two months', but I assure you that I am back to blogging. Probably.

This is what I have to say today:

1. I often get fast food on my way home from grocery shopping which seems somewhat ironic.

2. I had a Dr. Pepper today. It was delicious.

3. All good lists should come in 3's.

Why I Love Mary Carillo

Alternately, this post could be titled "Why I heartily dislike Serena Williams."

OK, so the BEST quote from the U.S. Open just happened. Serena Williams was assessed a point penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. She cursed out a line judge for calling a Foot Fault on her (which she absolutely committed).

Mary Carillo, about 2 minutes later: "It seems that when Foot Fault was called, those two F words led to far worse ones from Serena." HA! I love you MC.

AH!

Our electricity went out last night while we were watching LOST. We continued watching (on Zack's computer) which may not have been the best idea for me. 5 a.m. rolled around and I was seeing "others" in the shadows of Wes' room. Not a good night.
